ColDesi – Embroidery Tips
If you are trying to decide it’s time to upgrade your home machine into something more powerful here are some things to look at. By answering some of these simple questions for your own business you will be able to decide what might be right for you.
- Garment Size Matters – Many home embroiders have been creative in making their little home machine do things that you would never have thought possible, but every machine has its limits. If you are pushing your machine to the limits of what it can do, then it’s time for you to start looking at an upgrade. One great way to answer this question is to ask yourself: “How much time and I spending on re-hooping or having to deal with alignment problems?” If you are re-hopping or realigning more often than you are actually doing embroidery work, it is time to upgrade.
- Running Out of Time – It doesn’t matter if you are using a home machine or you have already upgraded to something industrial (commercial embroidery machines), if you are have more work than you can complete in a day you need to look at getting something faster or adding a second machine. If you want to be more effective with your business you need to have machines that actually make running your business easier.
- Who Are Your Customers – Knowing what you needs are going to be is going to help you pick the right kind of upgrade. Are your jobs longer runs with high stitch counts? Do you have short runs with lots of different designs? Do you know who your next customer is going to be? Having the answers to these questions is going to lead you to the next piece of equipment that you should be look at. (Click here for some Embroidery Articles)
